About Us

I was born and raised primarily in Morocco and Spain. In high school, I moved to the U.S. to continue my education, I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aeronautical Science.

In 2000, I was involved in a nearly fatal jet ski accident. No longer able to continue my flying career, my wife and I moved from Florida to St. Louis. We have made many wonderful friends since that time, and it has been a great place to raise our children.

The opportunity presented itself to begin our own business. I had always wanted to open my own storefront, and being able to bring some pieces of Morocco to St. Louis seemed like a dream come true. Traveling to Morocco and personally selecting each item we have was a daunting but amazing experience. The artisans who hand-craft each of our pieces use no machinery, and watching them create was incredible.

We were finally able to hold our grand opening in June of 2007. The past year has been a learning process to say the least. It has been wonderful to meet so many new people, and of course we could not have done it all without the support of our friends and family.
